A big happy birthday to Jane on her first birthday.  Her parents brought in the celebration in right with a pool party and cookout.  A perfect day and everyone had a blast… especially my boy Leo.  He was the first in the pool and the last out with a bit of a fuss as he was slowly getting hypothermic.  Jane got some pretty cool gifts including a sweet wooden scooter, toy phone (hello..) and some peek-a-boo books.  Thank you to Jane for the invite, we had a great time!  Here’s some pics from the day.

That’s Jane, the Birthday Girl

It looks like she’s having a good time.

That’s my boy Leo, rocking the boat.

And having a drink too.

Wow, those eyes are amazing!!

Doritos for all!

Happy Birthday Jane!

Leo making the most of the day and getting a quick kiss in before he goes home.  (by the way, this is my favorite photo ever!)

All photos taken with a 50mm 1.4 prime.  This lense rocks!

Today I met little Evie and her family for a photo shoot at the park.  She was quite the star and had we all had a great time as she concentrated on looking her cutest and posing with her grandparents.  Here’s a little taster for ya.  There will be much more to come but for now it’s getting late (yup… 9:45) and I’m pooped.  Good night everyone!

Meet Angela and Frank, married May 16th, 2009.  Congratulations!!  I was really excited when Angela (my wife’s mother) asked if I would be the photographer for her wedding ceremony this past weekend.  What an honor and it was a pleasure to capture the day for her and Frank.  It was the least I could as Angela has always been a solid fixture in my life here in England and she has always gone out of her way to help Gemma and I, even when it wasn’t convenient.  From the photos, it’s pretty clear that everyone had a fantastic time celebrating the day and the union of two people and their families.  This is for Angela and Frank to always remember.

Here’s some blog photos of the day.

the end!

Congratulations to Jane and Neil Hardin!  What a wedding.. relaxed, fun and I don’t think you could get a better looking couple.  It took place at Marshes Light, Monteo, NC or to the layman.. OBX.  The weather perked up and set the scene for some great photos and a nice warm evening to celebrate their union as a family.  Everyone had a lovely time and it shows in these photos.  To Jane and Neil…. how about throwing an anniversary party at that awesome seaside house in a year or two?!  It was great to see everyone.  Here are some of my favorites from the day:

Here’s a slide show with 50 images of the day.  Any other suggestions for background music?  If you have any great songs that you think would suit this or any other wedding slide show please let me know.  Thank you!

Thank you to all of you who made our wedding day so perfect.  Technically, this was our second wedding or rather a simple blessing followed by big party.  We were officially married on September 19th (check it out here) making this day this was our fun, fairytale wedding that everyone was invited to.  Gemma and I seem to do things a bit out of the norm; although I would recommend having two weddings to anyone.  It’s much less stressful and you get to have two parties…and two anniversaries to remember!  It was lovely to see all our family and friends together enjoying the moment with us.  Thank you all so much!  So without further ado may I present The Gemma and Josh Fairytale.
